Hagberg’s Top Sirloin Roast Smoking Magic!

Our buddy from across the river in Hudson, Todd Siegel, aka The Lost Canuck, is back at the smoker! This time, he’s working his magic on a budget-friendly cut of beef. Some folks call it the Baron of Beef or Poor Man’s Prime Rib, but around here at Hagberg’s, we just call it a Top Sirloin Roast.

For this video, Billy got things started by prepping and trimming a whole roast (we usually sell them in halves, by the way). He even trussed it up so Todd could dive right into the fun part – turning it into something amazing.

Todd kept things simple with a basic binder and rub, letting the beef shine on its own. He went with the classic “low and slow” smoking method, then gave it a blast of high heat at the end for that perfect crispy, caramelized crust.

Whether you’re making sandwiches for game day or serving it up as the main dish for a family dinner, a Hagberg’s top sirloin roast is a tasty, affordable option that always delivers.

Watch the video for details. Big thanks again to The Lost Canuck (aka Todd Seigel) for again sharing his love of meat!
